1. How do I Place my Order?

Online

The simplest way to order is online, using our shopping cart facility. Simply click on the items you wish to purchase then click on "Add to Cart". When you have finished shopping click on "Checkout" and enter your payment and delivery details. If you have previously elected, your recorded details will be displayed automatically. We will send you an email confirming receipt of your order, and again on dispatch of your order.

If you prefer, you can email or mail your order to us. The contact details are:

Just download our order form, complete and send! We will then contact you by email or phone to confirm you order and advise you of your order number. The goods ordered will be removed from our stock and held for you pending payment. You can pay by credit card or direct debit direct to our bank account. Let us know when you make your order which you would prefer. If it is by direct debit we will provide you with our account details. No goods will be dispatched until funds have cleared.

Overseas Orders

We are happy to accept orders from countries outside Australia. All orders from outside Australia can only be paid for by credit card using our online shopping cart facility. See below in relation to postage for international orders. There is a flat postage and handling fee of $20 to New Zealand and $27.50 to most Asian countries (conditions apply).

2. What about Payment?

mini eco uses SecurePay which allows online payment by Mastercard, Visa or American Express. SecurePay utilises Secure Socket Layering (SSL) with 128 bit encryption, ensuring the highest possible level of security to you. SecurePay is a third party processing service which is linked to our BankWest merchant account and we never view, nor can we store, your financial details (unless you choose to order off line using your credit card to pay).

3. What about Postage and Delivery?

We aim to process, pack and dispatch your order in the shortest possible time, usually the next business day. Orders can be delivered to you or, if requested, direct to a gift recipient. For deliveries within Australia, we use Australia Post's Parcel Post, unless you request otherwise. We charge flat rates for regular postage and handling, making it easy to calculate the total cost of your order. Our rates are:

Orders of $200 and under: Postage and handling of $7.50

Orders over $200: As a special thank you for your order, regular postage and handling is FREE!

Gift vouchers are mailed free of charge.

Please note that Parcel Post has a delivery time of 2 - 7 days, depending on your location and does not provide any insurance.

For a faster delivery, Australia Post Express Post is available at a minimum cost of $15 (see 2. below re minimum cost) although still does not provide any insurance. Even if your order is over $200, if you require Express Post it will cost a minimum of $15. Two things must be borne in mind when considering whether to opt for Express Post:

1. Firstly, while express Post generally provides for next day delivery, because we are in the Perth metropolitan area, we fall out of Australia Post's "Next Day Delivery" guarantee network and hence delivery will take an extra day. If you, too, are outside Australia Post's "Next Day Delivery" guarantee network, this will also add an extra day(s) to your delivery. Particularly if you live in a rural area, it may make choosing Express Post uneconomical as it may be no quicker than regular delivery;

2.*Secondly, if your order does not fit into an Express Post 3 kg prepaid satchel, you will be required to pay the full cost of sending your parcel Express Post. If this applies to your order, we will contact you immediately with the Express Post cost applicable to your order and you can decide to either switch to regular post or you can pay the additional Express Post costs.

If you would prefer your delivery to be sent by Registered Mail or to be sent by courier, please let us know when ordering and we will determine the applicable cost and advise you before we process your order.

While we pack all orders securely and with care, we cannot be responsible for the loss or damage of products during the delivery process, whether for deliveries in Australia or elsewhere. If this occurs, however, please let us know immediately.

In relation to international shipping, we ship to 

   1. New Zealand, at a flat rate of AUD$20; and

   2. Brunei, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, PNG, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, at a flat rate of AUD$27.50,

UNLESS your order weighs over 1.25kg in which case it will be charged at cost. If this applies to you, we will contact you to advise you of the cost and you may cancel or modify your order if you do not wish to bear that expense. International delivery may take up to 2 weeks, depending on your location. We can arrange for express international delivery or an international courier, at cost price as well.

If you require delivery to a country other than Australia or the ones listed above, please email us at orders@minieco.com.au and we will let you know your delivery options. You will only be charged the cost to us of sending orders outside Australia.

Please note that free postage for orders over $200 does not apply to orders to be delivered outside Australia.

4. How is my Order Packaged?

While we use Australia Post satchels, offer hard cardboard gift boxes for purchase and beautiful gift wrapping and cards for free, all other packaging used by us is recycled where possible. If we receive products from a manufacturer that are wrapped in plastic, we keep them wrapped to protect them and then encourage you to re-use the bag where possible. If we have used plastic bubble wrap or plastic pellets to protect your purchase, it's because someone has sent them to us. We never buy packaging materials unless we have to and when we do, we always seek out recycled alternatives. Every little bit counts!

5. How do I Redeem a Gift Voucher?

Instructions for redemption are set out on the reverse of gift vouchers. When ordering online, simply enter your gift voucher number and the amount will automatically be deducted from your order total. When ordering offline, simply return the gift voucher to us for cancellation.

6. Product Exchanges and Returns?

Because we want you to be totally thrilled with your purchases, we allow exchanges or refunds on all purchases, other than on reduced items (unless faulty). All items returned must be in original condition, unused or unworn (as the case may be), with all labels attached and in their original packaging and must be recived by us within 30 days of the date we dispatched them to you. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns unless these conditions are met.

Please note that return postage is the responsibility of the customer, and no postage charges will be refunded. We will, however, forward any replacement items to you free of charge.

Due to the high quality of the products sold by mini eco, we believe that the likelihood of a fault is extremely rare. Please also bear in mind that the products sold by us are less processed than conventional products and so natural variations can occur. If, however, you believe that a product you have received is faulty, please contact us by email within 7 days of receipt to arrange an exchange or return, and so that we may advise you of the procedure for returning the item to us.

We acknowledge your rights under the Trade Practices Act.

7. How does mini eco Select the Products it Stocks?

Our first priority in selecting products to stock in mini eco is that they are produced from organic textiles and other materials. It is usually the case that these products are also manufactured using fair trade principles. If there is a gap in our product lines that can only be filled by non-organic products because a good quality organic product simply doesn't exist (or there is limited choice) then we select products that are manufactured under fair trade principles, with preference given to manufacturers who are moving towards using organic textiles and other components, and/or who take carbon neutral issues into consideration in running their businesses. Once we have these bases covered then we look at the product range of the manufacturers who make the cut - are they fun, are they quirky, colourful and most of all with a style all their own? If they are, they're in and we are then thrilled to bring them to you!

Please note we do all this in good faith and cannot be held liable to a purchaser if a manufacturer or distributor of any product sold by us is found to have made incorrect or misleading claims about certain products, their composition or provenance.

8. What about Product Availability?

We regularly update our website and do our best to ensure that all products are available. If we sell out of a product that you have ordered, we will contact you immediately to advise you of a likely delivery date, which can be as little as 1 week for a back order. If you do not wish to wait for that item, you of course have the option to choose a different item, or cancel your order in which case we will provide you with a refund. We will not post your order until all items are ready for dispatch, unless you request otherwise.

9. How does your Pricing work?

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. International customers whose orders are to be delivered outside Australia are not subject to GST. All prices are subject to change without notice.

10. What are the Prices in my Currency?

For our international customers, we have provided a link to a currency converter to provide you with a guide to our prices in your currency. Please note this is a guide only, to give you an indication of the likely price. Currency fluctuations occur daily and the price that will appear on your credit card statement will depend on when your bank processes your transaction. Please click here for the currency converter.

11. What about my Privacy?

Your security and privacy are our utmost concerns. We only collect information such as your name, addresses and payment details for the purpose of completing your order or registering you for our newsletter when you have requested to receive it, and to generally provide you with a more personalized shopping experience. Your personal details will never be disclosed by us to a third party or sold by us and you can be assured that we will only use the information that we collect from you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
