"Bisphenol-A" labelled a "Dangerous Substance"

June 10, 2008

Health Canada, the regulatory body responsible for health and medical matters in Canada has recently declared that bisphenol-A, a synthetic chemical used in the production of polycarbonate through out the world, is a "dangerous substance". Although the Canadian government has not taken the next step of banning it or at least restricting its use, this declaration is a strating point which could see its use reduced, hopefully worle wide.

This declaration by Health Canada is particularly important due to the use of bisphenol A in baby bottles. Bisphenol-A is a compound that mimics oestrogen, which can effect the endocrine system  and hormone balances in the body.

It is for this reason we sell and recommend Green to Grow baby bottles - 100% bisphenol A free, they are the logical choice.
