Don't Forget Earth Hour Tonight!

March 29, 2008

At 8pm tonight, millions of people and businesses across the world will turn off their lights for 60 minutes in support of Earth Hour. The campaign started last year in Australia, where 2.2 million people and 2,100 corporations participated. This year, Earth Hour goes global in an attempt to prove that, if the world comes together, we can all make a difference in the fight against global warming.

Of course, after you flip the switch in support of our planet, the next logical question becomes, "What do I do when my lights are out for an hour?" You can try going colonial with candles. Or step outside to see if the stars look clearer with less light pollution. Or just consider this a great excuse for an early night -anything to help the planet!

Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

This simple act has captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world and we encourage you to join in.
