Smiling Planet make earth friendly plates and things for kids. They use safe, sustainable, recycled and organic materials because they are good for the planet. They strive to manufacture with a "cradle to cradle" recycling ethos rather than a cradle to the grave "use it once and throw it away" mentality.
Their light hearted designs celebrate the world and its diversity witht he message that we are all connected and that we need to cherish one another. Their designs make children smile, which makes parents smile. Smiles are good for the planet!
Smiling Planet products use no BPAs, phthalates, PVC or lead. They are 100% recycled, or 100% recyclable, or both. In addition, the inks used contain no cadmium, chromium, lead or mercury.
The beautiful "circle of life with stars" plate measures 20cm across, with a very handy 1.5 cm side lip to keep food on the plate! Top rack dishwasher safe, although cannot be microwaved.
