Milk and Tickles BPA Free Colour Change Bottle
Based in Queensland, Milk and Tickles BPA and phthalate free baby bottles were released this year to a phenomenal response. Not only is Milk and Tickles an Australian company, but their bottles have an amazing heat reactive colour changing property.
While the colour change feature is fun, it is not just a gimmick - the bottle changes colour from blue to fluorescent pink at approx 35 degrees (just below the the perfect feeding temperature of 36.5 degrees as it replicates the temperature of breast milk) and can visually indicate when formula is too hot or too cold. Bright pink is too hot, dark blue is too cold, purple is just right (purple colour ranges from pinky mauve (38 degrees) to bluey purple (32 degrees).
The bottle incorporates special heat sensitive technology that reacts to temperatures above 35 degrees. Any liquid placed in the bottle that is above 35 degrees will change the colour of the bottle to pink. (if the outside air temperature is above 35 degrees the bottle will also start to change colour!). No chemicals are used to prime Milk and Tickles bottles.
The bottles do not contain any Bisphenol-A (BPA) and use only non toxic pigments imported from the UK. The BPA free baby bottles are made from food grade polypropylene plastic (PP), number "5". PP has been used since 1954 without any health problems having been attributed to it.
Bottle is 250ml capacity. Teats are made from high quality liquid silicone and do not contain nitrosamines - they are size compatible with other teats readily available from chemists. Teat is a tender flow, medium to fast 6 -18 months size.
Dishwasher safe (top rack only). Electric and microwave steam steriliser safe.
Please Note: Do not boil or use cold water chemical sterilisation methods - this will reduce the lifespan of the color change properties;UV light may reduce lifespan of the the colour change properties so don't leave bottles in a sunny spot. The bottle is not designed as a safety tool - the colour change feature is a visual indicator only to determine whether fluid is below 35 degrees or approx between 32 - 38 degrees.
